Staring into nothing

October 6, 2011

My glasses still have not come in, nearing two weeks now. Could have used them today as I was working on some Python training modules. I did get my new work MacBook Pro today. It will be nice to leave the office on occasion to work on things. It get so cold in here. Spent some time in the garage yesterday making room for the new deep freeze my parents are bringing to use in the next week or two. Got a nice pile of things to take to Salvation Army this weekend. Planning to do some deep cleaning in preperation of my parents visit.

Played a bit of Shadow of the Colossus HD last night. I was getting a little frustrated trying to make this large jump, but once I got to the Colossus it was fun. I'm wondering if I should find a new hobby. I've dropped so many of the childish hobbies I've had over the past few years. Aside from loving Squirrels and snakes and getting an occasional plush toy of them, I only play games. I feel I should do something that is not electronic in nature. To rest my eyes and hands from my working hours. Allot of my co-workers home brew beer. Perhaps I should look into that.

Getting back into the healthy swing after the semi-binge of food over my birthday weekend. Its amazing that in less then a year my eating habits and health have changed so much. More then halfway to my goal weight now.

Just a slip of the knife

January 7, 2010

Well as I mentioned before I was biopsied and was found to have a bit of skin cancer on my forehead. Today was my surgery and it went well, not as bad as I was fearing. The pain is starting to set in and I can't remove the bandage for 2 days, but I'm hoping it heals well.

Picked up Darksiders this week and man is it wicked awesome. It reminds me allot of the Legacy of Kain games I enjoyed so much long ago.

Sigh

November 19, 2009

Well I'm sitting in a JQuery seminar that I wish we could attend virtual in my cube. Sitting in a crappy chair, yet another thing to add to the pile. Lifes been tough the past few months. With Jackie's mother passing, stress at work, stress from Jackie's loathing of work, and this past week I found out I have a skin cancer on my forehead. Jackie's been leaning on me pretty hard, and I feel the wall that I am is starting to lean. Its nearing Christmas which is always the most financially worrisome time of the year.

I don't mind Christmas that much if we could just eliminate all the gift-giving crap that is more of a chore then anything else. I'm hoping Christmas break will relax things a bit, even though I will probably have some minor surgery to address the skin cancer.

I think I may have to do some job searching for a higher salary positioned. We are managing things alright, but things could be better, and Jackie could quit her job or find a new one If I had a higher salary. I'll have to start doing some searching and see what surfaces.

Finished up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 last night. Great fun game. I may tackle some of the online stuff this weekend, and then Left 4 Dead 2, Dragon Ages, and then some.

Teeth no good

May 22, 2009

So my teeth have been in quit traumatic shock to no end. I've been to two dentists, the first didn't find anything wrong. The second thinks I have a fracture underneath a crown. However, its not the crown causing the most pain. In any case I'm going to see a periodontist and hopefully find some solution to this before I go crazy.

Been seeing movies again of late starting with Wolverine, then Star Trek, Angels and Demons, and this weekend Terminator. Star Trek was awesome, and the best movie I've seen since last years Batman.

Delerium

November 11, 2008

So I was bad and bought a laptop this past weekend. I've been looking at getting one for several weeks, but had not found one I liked at the right price. This past weekend Bestbuy had a really nice one on sale and I decided to get it. Its a Core 2 Duo with 4 Gigs of memory, Nvidia 9600 video card with 512 dedicated memory, blu-ray player, 17 inch monitor, and Vista 64 bit Home Premium installed. Its a pretty nice machine.

I'm in week three of having a nasty cough, and its really annoying. The weather in Austin has been great, its a huge change over Oklahoma at this time of year, and may take some getting used to. When we moved down here we noticed a new Chinese place was in the process of opening. It took them a long time, but they finally opened a few weeks ago. Its got all the great food I like, and Jackie likes, and seems to be our new buffet spot when we want Chinese.

I got on Facebook about 3 weeks ago now, and its been quite interesting. Managed to touch base with a number of people I haven't chatted with in ten years or so, as well as some relatives, and other people I know. If you know me, feel free to look me up there.

Black Bat Cat

October 25, 2007

Sooo I had an odd dream. My father passed away and I was quite upset. Nothing would calm me down. I tried desperately to contact my old friend and ex-girlfriend Christina. I left messages and emails, about how I needed to see her. After days of chaos I got a reply saying to come visit. I drove and got to her house, her roomates tried to calm me down as she was at work. She finally got home and we hugged and I was all calm and normal again. I then woke up.

Been sick the past two days, but feeling better today. Didn't get too behind at work. It appears I have to attend the Fall Carnifall event as a club sponsor. I'll probably head home grab my PSP and the new Castlevania game, some food, and then get to camp out in the cold for a few hours.

Etenal Sonata Prime

August 29, 2007

Well I decided to switch out the images from Y's Origins for something thats just around the corner. A wonderful and beautiful RPG for the Xbox 360 called Eternal Sonata. It comes out in Mid-September and I'm looking forward to playing it, as I loved the demo. I picked up Metroid Prime 3 yesterday and played a few hours of it. It took a bit to get used to the controls but its been pretty fun so far. Jackie beat Bioshock this past week as well. All the great games of the Fall have finally starting being released. Its going to be a busy few months for us game wise.

Jackie has had some promising interviews with a Hospital in Tulsa. She goes in for another tomorrow, hopefully she'll get word back on being hired so she can put that degree to good use.

My body doesn't seem to want to work with me. I'm trying to be more active by exercising 5+ days a week, but my body keeps finding pains and aches, as well as tiredness. I'm not sure what the deal is.
